    Mr Jai Seth

    Urological Diagnostics & Tests

A clear diagnosis is the starting point for effective treatment. Mr Jai Seth offers a full range of urological investigations in London, from simple flow tests and cystoscopy to detailed video-urodynamics and cross-sectional imaging such as CT urogram.

If you have urgent or severe symptoms such as visible blood in urine, severe pain, fever with urinary symptoms, or sudden inability to pass urine, contact your GP or NHS 111 the same day rather than waiting for an investigation. For non-urgent symptoms that need looking into, a private consultation can shorten the wait between symptom and answer.

    Urodynamics

What to expect during urodynamic testing with Mr Jai Seth at Nuffield Health Parkside, Wimbledon. The test that measures how your bladder fills and empties.

    Flexible Cystoscopy

A thin-camera examination of the urethra and bladder, performed under local anaesthetic in the clinic. Used to investigate haematuria, recurrent urinary tract infection, bladder pain, and ahead of surgery.

    Prostate Biopsy

A prostate biopsy is performed when there is a suspicion of prostate cancer based on PSA results or clinical examination. Several techniques are available — transrectal, transperineal, and MRI-guided — selected to match the clinical picture.

    CT Urogram

A contrast-enhanced CT scan of the kidneys, ureters and bladder. The standard test alongside flexible cystoscopy for investigating visible blood in the urine.

    Intermittent Self-Catheterisation

The use of a small disposable catheter, several times a day, to empty the bladder. Used in patients with incomplete bladder emptying, neurogenic bladder, or after some types of surgery.
