Mr Jai Seth
BSc(Hons) MBBS MRCS MSc(Urol) MD(Res) FRCS(Urol)
Mr Jai Seth is a Consultant Urological Surgeon practising at King Edward VII's Hospital, New Victoria Hospital, Nuffield Health Parkside Hospital, and The London Bladder Clinic. He has previously practised at St George's University Hospital, Epsom and Kingston Hospitals, Cromwell Hospital, and Spire St Anthony's Hospital. He specialises in the assessment and treatment of urinary conditions in both men and women, from urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, and stress incontinence to benign prostate enlargement, urinary tract infections, and interstitial cystitis.
After graduating from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Medical School in 2005, he trained at University College Hospital and Guy's Hospital before receiving a national research award from The Urology Foundation for his work on bladder dysfunction. He was awarded a Doctorate from University College London for this research, and after several years of fellowship training in functional urology, joined the specialist register in 2017 and was appointed Consultant in 2018. In 2025, he was nominated for a Public Choice for Outstanding CARE Award at St George's and Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals.
Experience across the full range of urological care
Clincial practice
His practice centres around individualised treatment plans, with the aim of improving quality of life and helping patients return to their best selves. He believes that the best outcomes for lower urinary tract conditions start with an accurate urodynamic evaluation, and has performed thousands of urological procedures since starting his practice.
He co-leads the Urodynamic, Female Urology and Neuro-Urology service at St George's Hospital, supports the continence services at Epsom and Kingston Hospitals, and is part of a specialised team at the Royal Marsden Hospital providing cancer survivorship care for men with post-prostatectomy incontinence. He also provides urology support for bladder management at the Royal Hospital for Neurodisability in Putney, has established Bladder Botox and Urethral Bulking services, and co-leads the urology prosthetic service offering artificial sphincter implantation. He has treated over 2,000 Bladder Botox patients since 2009.
He co-founded and leads the HOLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) programme at St George's and Kingston Hospitals, and led the team that pioneered Robotic Colposuspension in the UK, a procedure that has benefited thousands of women with stress urinary incontinence. He also has particular expertise in sacral nerve stimulation (SNS), including complex implantation and revision surgery for patients whose previous treatment has not been successful. At King Edward VII's Hospital, he delivers a comprehensive overactive bladder pathway, guiding patients from initial assessment through to advanced interventions such as sacral nerve stimulation. He also has expertise in Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP), urodynamic testing, fascial sling, Rezum, and UroLift.
Beyond clinical work, he has co-authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications, including a chapter in the Handbook of Clinical Neurology, and presents research internationally. Formerly a Senior Lecturer at St George's University of London Medical School, he is an active speaker for increasing awareness and support for patients with urinary incontinence, and serves as the National Clinical Lead for Urology at 18 Week Support, coordinating post-pandemic recovery of urology services across NHS hospitals. He is a member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons, the International Continence Society, and the European Association of Urology.
